Earthquake

Last night when I went to bed, I started a load of laundry. We have moved our washer and dryer upstairs and when our washer spins, it shakes the entire house. Sometime around 5:30 this morning, I woke to the house shaking. I thought, why is the washing machine still running? There is something major wrong with that thing! I woke Brad and he concluded we were experiencing an earthquake. It was so weird! Everything was shaking and there was a rumble outside. Our computer printer and stand slipped off the desk! Later in the day around 11:45, we felt an aftershock. There was a train on the track about a mile from our house and Braylen said, "Mommy, the train is making the ground bumpy!!" Anyway, interesting day in Indiana!!!

Awana Awards

Tonight Braylen completed a milestone in her Awana career. She completed Cubbies! She had her awards ceremony tonight and got her last patches and ribbon. She had a great time celebrating with friends.

School Carnival

Today was Braylen's School Carnival. I got to help this year. It was a lot of fun. I helped paint faces. Braylen won lots of prizes and came home with face painting and tatoos! It was a fun day. Thanks, Mamaw Carol for keeping Alea so I could participate this year!!

Kindergarten Here We Come!!

Last night we had a meeting at school for all new kindergarteners. This will be the first year our school corporation participates in all day kindergarten. Braylen got to meet her teachers, see her classroom, the lunchroom, library, music room and Daddy's old classroom!! She had a fun evening and Mommy had an emotional one. Maybe we want to homeschool...........

Miss Happy Pants

Alea is feeling much better and back to her spunky old self! Braylen got a new pair of goggles for the pool and Alea has had so much fun wearing them!!! Silly Le-Le!!

Awana Grand Prix Race 2

Braylen participated in the Awana Grand Prix race again this year. She and Daddy had a lot of fun designing and sanding and painting the car. Mommy and Braylen put the sticker decals on. Braylen's car is the yellow one with the red stripe down middle and lightening bolt on front. She is number 3. She won second place in each of her heats and first place for design. She was thrilled to again receive a trophy! I guess Daddy needs to build a trophy case soon for all these awards she seems to win!! Way to go, Bray!!!

Miss Crabby Pants

Alea has been Miss Crabby Pants lately! She hasn't eaten or slept well at all. She is fussy and wants her own way all the time. We haven't known if it was terrible twos or sickness. Well, this morning, she woke with a fever and we headed off to the doctor. She has another double ear infection and sore throat (strep test came back negative). She has had a dose of the pink stuff, tylenol and is fast asleep now. Maybe she'll bounce back to Miss Happy Pants soon!!

High School Musical On Ice

Friday night we took the girls to Disney's High School Musical on Ice. They LOVED it! They both sang, danced and clapped the night away. It was a good show. We are so glad we went.

Rub-a-dub-dub Two Girls in a Tub

Braylen spent the night last night with Mamaw and Papaw. She came home tonight and the girls were excited to see each other to say the least! Here are some snapshots of bath time tonight. The giggling never stopped!!! Our girls are so fun!!
