Pumpkin Time!!!

Braylen and her pumpkin
Alea was so happy to pull the top off her pumpkin

Braylen was very hesitant to put her hand inside!!
Alea refused to put her hand inside and touch the "ickies"
After much prodding, Braylen reached inside and cleaned out her pumpkin
Alea asked for a spoon!! LOL!!
Mommy helped Alea finish cleaning out her pumpkin
The girls with their finished pumpkins. We sorted out the seeds and they are drying tonight. We plan to toast them tomorrow night!!

Hospital Visit

Yesterday afternoon, Alea was coughing so much, she was turning blue. I called our

pediatrician and he was out for the afternoon. I scheduled an app't for this morning. She continued to get worse, so I took her to the ER. Brad met us in there. After 5 hours, a chest x-ray, influenza swab and a breathing treatment, they diagnosed her with bronchitus. They gave her a double dose of antibiotic and a dose of Robitussin AC and told us she would look and act a lot better in the morning. They said that since she had been on the Amoxicilian all week for ear infection, that probably had kept it from turning into pnemonia! We came home and Alea slept all night long! The first time in over a week! She does look so much better today--it's unbelievable! She has 3 more days of meds and hopefully this will be a thing of the past! We are continuing with breathing treatments every 4 hours and Robitussin as needed.

Right now, Brad is at the dr, probably will come home with the same diagnosis! He has been coughing for a few days now and it's getting worse. I had this 2 weeks ago. Did not go to the dr., got over it on my own. So far, Brittany and Braylen are ok--hoping it stays that way!

Pumpkin Patch 2009

she was sticking her tongue out at me!! I think she was tired of all the picture taking :)

You can tell that Alea is not feeling well. She had been fever free, so we decided we could go. Went to the ER later that evening!

The girls and I went to the pumpkin patch. We had fun in the straw maze, on the hay ride, seeing goats and donkeys, jumping in the giant pumpkin and choosing our own pumpkins to carve and make pumpkin pie with.

My Little Pony Birthday Party

Saturday we celebrated Braylen's 7th birthday with 15 of her best little girlfriends! They had so much fun making crafts, getting their nails done and faces painted. They also got to go on pony rides and play with a goat, pot bellied pig, rabbits and a chicken. It was a fun day!!

The girls got to dress the pony up! They put everything in the tub on her!!

Brittany was asked to help lead the pony around. She loved it!!

Braylen's Cake. This time it didn't collapse!!!

Celebrate gave Braylen birthday kisses!!

Alea was overwhelmed with all the people. She clung to Mamaw or Daddy the whole day!

Celebrate the pony gave Braylen a gift!

Alea didn't actually ride, but she did sit on the pony!

Happy 7th Birthday, Braylen

Today is Braylen's 7th birthday! She had a big, full day! It started off with a breakfast date with Daddy before school. Then, Daddy and Alea met Braylen at school for lunch, taking her a Happy Meal!! Tonight was Friend Night at Awana, and Braylen invited Isabel to go along. We went to Bob Evans for dinner before. Here she is opening a gift from Isabel and American Girl clothes from Mommy and Daddy. She even got to take Ladybug cupcakes to school for all her friends. I forgot to take pictures, but they turned out soooo cute!!!
Happy Birthday, Braylen! We love you so much. You have blessed us in so many ways!!!

I'm a Rockstar!!!

7 going on 17....

Here is Bray in one of her new outfits! You can't see it in this picture, but she is also wearing her first pair of high heels!!! Oh my, she is growing up way too fast!!

Birthday Party #1

Saturday, we celebrated Braylen's 7th birthday with family. We combined the party with Ellen, our neice who turned 10. Braylen wanted a My Little Pony cake. The cake when stacked was a bit lopsided on one side, but looked ok. When we arrived in Roanoke at the party, the cake had totally slid apart, hence the look of the cake! I get another chance next Saturday for the friend birthday party!
