It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood!!!

Wasn't today just absolutely gorgeous??? This afternoon Alea started feeling better and we played outside all evening! It got a bit chilly towards the end, so we added jackets, but we had so much fun! The girls LOVED getting in the hottub with us! Braylen is practicing for T-ball this spring and Alea had to get in on the action. We bought the girls new swings and put them up tonight. They had a great time!!!

Baby Shower

Today I helped host a baby shower for my cousin, Lynsey. She is due in a few weeks with a little girl, they will name Chloe Rayne!! We had a great time. I had fun making the rattle cake--it was my first baby shower cake :)

The girls had fun at the shower. Well, Alea slept or snuggled most of the time to keep from having to look at strangers! Braylen of course immediately started playing with 2 other little girls at the party. Polar opposites, we have in this home :)

Here's What Our House Looks Like Today...

Alea is awake, happy, silly and feeling just great! She found a tape measure and is measuring everything!!!

Braylen is sick!! She is missing her first day of school! She wasn't acting like herself last night, really quiet and sleepy. We decided we were not going to wake her this morning, that I would just take her late to school and let her catch up on sleep. Well, she slept until 8:30 and came into my room half dressed for school. I told her she didn't have to get dressed just yet and asked how she was feeling. She said, "Am I late for school?" I felt her head and she was burning up! I told her she wasn't going today, that she was sick. She started to cry and said, "but how will I miss school? And what will all my friends do?" (Like the world stops if Braylen is not at school--ha!!) So, she's feeling pretty down and gloomy and I'm praying it passes soon and that no one else gets it. No real symptoms other than being sleepy and fever????? Hmmmm....................

Talent Show

Ok, so I'm way behind, but a few weeks ago Braylen's school had a talent show. Here are pictures of Braylen with her class performing a few patriotic numbers!!

Guess What Alea DId Today??????

She went on the BIG GIRL POTTY!!!! YIPPEE, YAY, YAY!!!!! We are soooo proud of her. She came into the living room tonight all on her own and said "potty!" I helped her take her diaper off and she went running to the bathroom with Braylen. Bray was getting into the shower and they shut the door. Brad went into check on them and Alea said, "Potty!" as she pointed to the little potty chair. Brad looked and sure enough, there it was!!! WOO-HOO!!!! This is the first time she has put something in the potty chair!!! She was jumping and so excited and of course we played it up BIG!! She got M and M's and she was so proud of herself!

Who knows what will come of this, we haven't really worked with her, just made it available. I worked my self silly trying to potty train Braylen and then one day she just decided she wanted to go and never had an accident after! Maybe this will be the same with Alea??? Stay tuned!!!
