Do I Really Want to Be a Big Sister????

I think someone in our household feels the same as the above girl. We like following Marvin, if you haven't followed it, this family just adopted a baby girl from China. The other children are dealing with the newness of it all.

Braylen loves talking about Alea, when she wants to and then she will get tired of it all and refuse to talk about it. Brad and I are trying very hard to not "obsess" about this adoption and to focus on Braylen for a few more months before she has to share the spotlight.

We know she will be an awesome big sister, but as with all firstborn, only's there will be a transition time for her.

One thing you can pray for is our decision to take Braylen with us to Taiwan or leave her with Mamaw Carol. All along we have thought we would leave her, that the trip would be too hard on her, but she is adament about going and we don't want her to resent the fact that we didn't allow her to do this with us. There are many positives and negatives, but at this point the positives are winning out. We feel that she is old enough to remember this experience and will gain a good outlook on orphanages for when she one day begins to question her adoption story.
