After the Storm...

View of our driveway this morning

Drifted Driveway

Here are views at 9 a.m. this morning. Braylen and I even ventured out on foot today. You will see later that our car will not be going anywhere for quite sometime, I am sure! It is really brisk and cold outside, so we didn't stay too long, but we had to go out and explore a little. The snow is really hard and crisp on top, so you can basically walk on top of the drifts in most places. I fell into a drift one time out by the road with my hands full of the mail and camera. It was quite interesting figuring out hot to get up and not get camera and mail wet. The camera made it nice and dry, the mail is drying!!!

10 p.m. Blizzard Report

Can you see the yardstick now??? It is burried!!
Where are the lights on our Front Sidewalk???

View from the Garage Service Door

Here is the view of our front sidewalk, garage view and for the first time today, I opened the service door on the south side of the garage and discovered that the snow was as tall as me!!!! Pictures don't really show it, but the bushes here are a little taller than me and the snow drift is as tall as the bushes a little further than the picture picks up. Our entire sidewalk from the garage to this service door is this deep. If I were to walk it, it would easily be up to my shoulders!!!!! I don't think I have ever seen this much snow in one area. I will take more pictures in the morning when it will show up better!!

I cannot get our front storm door opened more than a few inches because the snow is so deep on the porch/sidewalk area. I had to stick the camera out and snap pictures so I could capture it.

Our Back Yard at 10 p.m.

According to the news report, we have gotten 9 inches of new snow in Wabash today!!! I had to do one more 1o p.m update tonight for Brad to see while he is escaping all of this down south today. For those who haven't seen our backyard, along the fence, we have 4 lights, but only 2 are still visable, the others are buried. Braylen's sandbox which stands up on legs, is also burried. The shot of the deck and hottub, lets you see how high the snow is--it is 2 steps down and it is even with the deck now.

5 p.m. Blizzard Update

Our Front Sidewalk

View from the Garage

Here are pictures taken at 5 p.m. for Brad!! The wind really picked up about 4:30 and it is really white out conditions!! Many county roads are closed. I am not sure how much snow we have received, but we have many 4 foot drifts!!

Gettin' Mommy

The girls and I have had a lot of fun today!! They have both been so very good. Here is a picture I was able to snap of Alea on my shoulders before she plunged for the camera!! I am getting ready to go take more pictures of the snow now at 5 p.m. for Brad to see. The wind is really picking up and drifts are getting bigger and bigger. We are now under a level 2 snow advisory, which means stay off roads unless absolutely necessary (medical or work). I think we'll stay in :)

Blizzard

Photos don't really capture what it's really like outside today, but here is what I snapped at noon today,

Will She Crawl?

Today Alea was so close to crawling!! She wanted the daddy for the house. She ended up reaching the man without having to crawl!!! I guess she wants to wait for daddy to see her do it for the first time.
