Egg Hunt 2

Today we celebrated Easter with Great Grandpa and Grandma. The girls enjoyed having another egg hunt! Braylen found most of the plastic eggs, but Alea stocked up on the chocolate (my kind of girl!!)

Eating Grandma's Homemade Easter Candy

The girls are enjoying chocolate lollipops that Great Grandma made for them!! Yummo :)

It Finally Feels Like Spring!!!

Today was a gorgeous day! The spring flowers are blooming, the buds are coming out on the trees and it was 70 degrees! A perfect day--I could handle it being this way every single day of the year!!!

Need a Pyrotech?

Then, call Brad!!

about this time, he told me we may need to call the fire department!

The girls had a lot to watch this morning! Everytime the fire would get back over the fence, Alea would stand up and start yelling for Daddy and point and say, "GET IT!! GET IT!!" It was so cute!!

But in the end, Brad saved the day on his own without the fire department's help!! In case you're disappointed you missed the action, be sure to come by our house next spring on the first really warm Saturday and you'll be able to see it again!!!! It's a ritual at this house!

Awana Awards Night

Last night we celebrated Braylen's achievement this year in Awana by attending her Awards Night. She finished her first year Sparks book and got a ribbon for that, along with Sunday School attendance and club attendance awards. We are very proud of Braylen for working very hard this year in memorizing over 30 Bible verses and all the books of the New Testament! Way to go Bray!!!

Tea Party

Today, we exercised our American freedom by taking a stand for what our country was built upon. We attended a local Tea Party Peaceful protest. Alea proudly waved her flag and held her sign. We are standing up to Washington and demanding they represent the PEOPLE and listen to us. We will not sit quietly by while our country is strippped of every principle it was built upon. We do not want to leave a MASSIVE debt to our children and grandchildren. If you feel the same way, do not sit still, stand up and speak up before that right is taken away from you!

Easter Egg Hunt

They both have mouths FULL of jelly beans!!! Notice the chipmunk cheeks :)

Alea reading her new Dora book

Braylen reading her new Fancy Nancy book to Papaw.

The girls had so much fun hunting for their eggs and one big bag. They loved their new books, peeps and jelly beans!!

Decorating Easter Eggs

Today we decorated Easter Eggs. The girls had so much fun watching white eggs turn bright colors. We didn't do anything fancy, just plain and simple, but lots of fun!!
