A Very Special Gift

Today, Alea received a gift from her Birthmother. We are so blessed to still be in contact with her. What a blessing she is to us, as each time she send Alea gifts, she also includes Braylen. Braylen asked today for the first time why her birthmother didn't send gifts to her. We knew this would always come, and I knew it would be a hard thing to deal with. Braylen dealt fine with it when I explained that we don't know why God chose for Alea's birthmother to be in our lives, but we are thankful for that. We talked some more and that seemed to be enough. I know we will have many more of these discussions.

Birthmother: I know you read this blog. We are so thankful for the gift you gave us, precious Alea Tyan-Ling She is a gift that we will always treasure. Thank you so much for including Braylen in all your gifts. It means so much. The sweet outfit you sent, fits Braylen perfectly! Someday Alea will grow into it as well. Thank you so much for the beautiful hair clips, puzzles, CD, windchime, magnets and letter! We love you!!

Feliz Cumpleanos!

We celebrated Alea's 3rd birthday at Mi Pueblo tonight after Braylen's t-ball game with Grandma and Grandpa Nussbaum and Grandma and Grandpa Anderson. Alea has been talking about wanting to wear the hat for a while now! She loved the hat, wasn't too sure about them putting the ice cream on her face though! She didn't cry, but as soon as they were done, she wanted Daddy to wash it off! Then she enjoyed the treat with Braylen!!

We cannot believe she is 3 years old already! Stay tuned for the big party tomorrow!! We love you sweet Alea! You are beginning to really come out of your shy stage and we just love the little giggles and sweet things you are beginning to say! God is so good!!!

Here Batter, Batter, Batter!!

Tuesday night was Braylen's first t-ball game of the season. She has improved sooooo much from last year! We were so proud of how well she ran, hit, and fielded the ball! Way to go, Bray! Daddy was the first base coach and we know that helped having him on the field with her! Way to go Astros!

Happy Mother's Day!!

For so long I waited to celebrate my first Mother's Day and now today, I celebrated my 7th one!! My first mother's day was on my birthday, May 9, 2003. We had a picture of Braylen, but we didn't have her home yet, but I was a MOTHER!! Here is a picture of my first Mother's Day with Braylen home and then pictures of Mother's Day now! I love my girls. We had a great day. We had Muffins with Mom at church and then we picked up pizza and went to the park for lunch. Home for naps and then we hosted both our moms for dinner tonight! Great times :)
