Mommy, Look!!!

This morning the girls came running upstairs chanting, "Mommy, Look!!" "Mommy, Look!!" The entered my bedroom and said, "We have babies in our tummys!!!" It was sooooo cute to see how excited they were at their "accomplishment." They put balloons in their shirts. I thought it was so cute how Alea had the tiny one and Braylen had the larger one. Too bad they look more like a uniboob instead of a baby!!!

I don't buy them very often at all, but last night I picked some up at the grocery store and Alea remembered this morning!! She started saying, "Dono's please??" It was sooo cute! Here is proof that mommy gave in!!

Happy New Year!!

Alea Gets a Boo Boo

Alea added some excitement to our day today! We went to Mi Pueblo for lunch after church and before our food came, she fell out of her chair (she wasn't in a high chair!!) and landed on her head. She screamed in typical Alea fashion and had the entire restaurant's attention on her. She wouldn't let us look at her head. I felt all around and didn't feel anything at first. She only wanted Daddy. She cuddled on his shoulder and then settled down and started acting like she might go to sleep. That is when I became concerned. I saw a shadow on her head, asked Brad to turn so I could see her head and before he even turned all the way, I saw the large goose egg on her forehead! It was soooo purple and red and so large, we immediately got up and asked for our bill for our drinks and headed to the hospital. Braylen was in hysteria as we told her we were going to the hospital. She is so super sensitive about her sissy. We kept assuring her they would help Alea, but this didn't calm her down. When we went into the ER, they didn't know who the patient was, Alea was calm, Braylen not so much. We called friends, Kevin and Jill to please come and get Braylen. While waiting on them, the nurses took her to a lounge and fed her Barbie Birthday cake and found cartoons for her.
The doctor checked Alea out and said she has a concussion. He said we just needed to watch her closely for the next 24 hours, waking her every 2 hours while she sleeps. We came home and fed her some chicken noodle soup, put her to bed and woke her in 2 hours. She didn't want to wake, but that is nothing unusual for her. Once awake, she has acted like her normal self. She has been playing as if nothing happened. She is now down for the night and we will rouse her in a bit, but then probably let her sleep all night. She is such a light sleeper anyway, I am sure she will wake on her own and when we normally ignore her waking, we'll check on her tonight!
Thank you, VanDuynes and Browns for coming to the hospital!! What a blessing good friends are!!

Bonus 2009

Every year on New Years Day we go to my Grandpa and Grandma's house for a meal and "bonus" We have done this every year since I was Alea's age!! Grandpa buys us grocery items, wraps them in newspaper, plays some games with part of them, sometimes tapes quarters to items, pays us to eat cabbage and other things he thinks up and it's just an all around fun day!! Here are pictures of the girls with their bonus items.
