A Typical Morning at the Flecks

Here is what you would typically find around 8 a.m. everyday at the Flecks!! The girls cuddle in bed with Mommy and watch Curious George on tv. We then get dressed (most days : ) ) and go downstairs for breakfast!! It's the next best thing to sleeping in until 9 a.m.!!!

A Visit from Phyllis

Today Phyllis came to visit us!! We met Phyllis in Taiwan when we were there adopting Alea. Phyllis was one of Alea's caregivers. She is now back in the states and was travelling through our area and stopped in for lunch and a great visit! We had so much fun catching up with her and seeing her pictures of a recent mission trip to Haiti. Thanks, Phyllis for stopping in!!! Come back anytime!

Hangin with Mamaw

Mamaw came for lunch and for a visit with Phyllis today. Alea was hanging out with her waiting to eat lunch.

First Bite of Apple

Tonight I was eating an apple while Alea was sitting on my lap. She kept staring at it and opening her mouth, so I let her lick it! She LOVED it!! She chewed and licked until I finished it off! It was so cute!

Alea's First Haircut

Today Mamaw trimmed Alea's bangs!! She got her first haircut! Daddy held her while Mamaw trimmed and Mommy snapped pictures. She didn't mind it at all! Now her bangs are even and oh, so cute!! Thanks, Mamaw!

A phone call

Yesterday, Bray received a very important phone call from Aubreigh! The girls had so much fun talking to each other planning a play date!! What is really funny is that I took a picture of Bray on the phone and Amber took one of Aubreigh!! What blog worthy moms we are!!

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall...

This morning Alea discovered the herself in the mirror! I sat her in front of it (like I have on many occassions) while I was doing Bray's hair. She has never taken an interest in it before, but today, she saw herself or "another baby" in the mirror and had a ball patting, laughing, talking and attacking!!! It was adorable! I wish we had highspeed internet so I could post the video footage of this!

My Silly Bray

This morning Bray yelled for me to come and look at what she could do. She told me she could crawl through her dollhouse door. I didn't believe her because look at how small it is!! She proved me wrong and did it! I ran for the camera and had her do it all over again! These will be fun pictures to look back on when she is older and doesn't believe me that she fit through that door!!

I'm Going to a Motel

This morning, Bray packed her bag and told me she was going to a motel because she wanted to swim. For the past week or so she has been asking if we can get in our pool and I have told her it was too cold, so today, she discovered an alternative! We can go to a motel and swim!! Sounds like a winner to me!!! Notice the backpack is as big as she is!!!

The Love of Reading

This is how I found Braylen this morning when I came downstairs. Daddy had fed the girls breakfast and they were waiting on me to leave for church. Braylen was actually sounding out words!!! She is really doing well with reading basic consonant, vowel, consonant words!! Makes a first grade teacher mommy VERY proud!!!

Snow Fun with Daddy

Today after church, Brad and Braylen played in the snow before nap time. They made a snow hut, snow tunnel and went sledding down a drift in the front yard (we don't have any hills here!!) Braylen had a blast and I was able to snap a few pictures after getting Alea down for a nap.
